Your data

Privacy policy

Written to be read. In one sentence: NexEpi stores what you log to show it to you and the people you allow, never sells it, and lets you take it all with you whenever you want.

Overview

  • No ads and no sale or sharing of data for advertising.
  • Exporting (JSON and CSV) and deleting an account are always free and available in Settings.
  • You choose whether your profile is public and whether activity is public, followers only or private — and can choose for each session.

What we store

  • Account: name, username, email, Google identifier and profile photo. For existing password accounts, we store only the hash. Bio and city are optional. We store beta registration and your notice authorization, which you can withdraw.
  • Preferences: subscribed services and preferred genres.
  • What you log: diary sessions (date, rating, service, tags, text), library, lists, favorites, reviews, comments, reactions, votes, likes, follows and watch parties.
  • Security: active login sessions and reports. Per-account usage limits to prevent abuse.
  • Payment: subscription plan, status and dates. Card data stays with the payment processor, not with us.

How we use it

Support requests and replies remain private between your account and administrators. They are included in JSON export and removed from the application when your account is deleted.

To show your diary, stats and recommendations; for social features (feed, taste match, profile) within your permissions; for notifications you requested (new episodes, replies, invitations); and to keep the service secure. Recommendations and taste matches are calculated here using platform data — nothing is sent to third-party services for that purpose.

Who sees what

  • Public profile: your profile, public lists and reviews may be visible to visitors according to privacy settings; your public year in review requires public activity.
  • Private profile: only your followers can see profile content.
  • Activity: public, followers only or private. Only me sessions are never shown to anyone else.
  • Episode discussions show text only to people who have watched the episode.

Third-party services

  • Catalog: show data comes from TVmaze; movies and translations from TMDB and Wikidata/Wikipedia. Requests to them carry none of your data.
  • Images: posters and backdrops may load from those catalogs' image servers.
  • Payments: cards through the payment processor; PIX through your bank.
  • Email: identifies your Google account and may receive account notices. Beta access notices are sent only with your authorization and a confirmed address.

Google authenticates your identity and provides your name, email and photo. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive or Calendar. The button loads Google's service after you choose to continue.

Cookies

We use necessary session cookies and a login hint to load the interface. Starting Google sign-in creates a temporary cookie to protect authentication. Theme and session-change signals are stored in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights (LGPD)

You can access, correct, export and delete your data at any time, directly in Settings. For any other request under Brazil's General Data Protection Law, contact the team through the help center.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Deletion removes your diary, ratings, reviews, comments, lists and relationships from the application. There is no account recovery through the interface. Minimal financial and audit records remain detached from the deleted account; backups follow the service's retention process.
